Sessions

Hey! So much to choose from…! Here’s a brief guide to our current Heyrobics sessions!!

The Heyrobics Checklist - 2013!

All Heyrobics sessions are accompanied with music and energy-filled instructors to ensure that you get the absolute most out of your Heyrobics session! Intensity levels differ slightly – however, all moves are simple, effective and fun, and designed to work YOU out to the max!

Heyrobics is out very own unique and complete exercise, which in turn has a bunch of forms!

All Heyrobics sessions consist of an instructor, music, and the Heyrobics 300 basic movements – which has endless variations. What each session also has in common are easy-to-follow movements, effective training for the whole body, and our goal of everyone walking away with one big smile!

Breaking it down, session is made up of a warm-up, followed by cardio, strength and agility segments – to what extent of each may vary depending in session length (normally 47 minutes if active training), type and intensity.

What’s also different compared to most other workouts you may have encountered is that each session is unique: we don’t have any ready-made classes. Instead, based on the Heyrobics Intensity Curve (our Science!) each instructor puts down his or her songs and moves, creating a new variation.

You’re not required to bring any equipment to any sessions (the only thing we normally use are yoga mats for our strength and agility parts)  – just show up in your normal sportswear and you’re good to go!

More details about our workouts are published below, and in our FAQ’s (LINK)!

Heyrobics Session Headers - STARTER Session

Get started! A great way to get going with effective training is to join the STARTER sessions. Here, you’ll typically find a varied group of people from all ages, all doing it their way! These sessions offer all-round training with easy-to-moderate moves that will challenge and improve your strength, endurance and mobility varied ways – with movements that you can take out a little extra should you want to!

The session is are generally conducted with somewhat slower music compared to Medium sessions, putting less load on muscles while inviting participants to perform the drills to 100%. At this intensity level, we train with a generally moderate pulse, varied loads on the body and little or no jumping!

Typically in STARTER, we may add a few push-ups on the knees – possibly with butt up (taking load of abs, back and arms), include some more extra core/toning drills, and mix it up with a couple of medium-to high intensity squats.

Our normal classes are 45 or 60min (providing 35-47 minutes of active training respectively)!

Heyrobics Session Headers - MEDIUM Session

These are often our most popular sessions, attracting people of all types! Our MEDIUM sessions offer all-round training with moderate-to-high intensity that will challenge and improve your strength, endurance and mobility in challenging and varied ways.

The session is often conducted with slightly faster beats compared to Starter sessions, requiring a higher level of exertion to perform them to 100%. At this intensity level, we train with a generally moderate-to-high pulse, varied loads on the body and some jumping – and it’s also a little extra challenging for general balance!

Typically in MEDIUM, we may add a few push-ups on the feet, do some more intensive core drills, and do a couple of medium-to high-impact jumps. You will sweat, and smile!

Our normal classes are 45 or 60min (providing 35-47 minutes of active training respectively)!

Heyrobics Session Headers - INTENSIVE Session

These are our TOUGHEST Heyrobics sessions! Our INTENSIVE sessions offer all-round training with high intensity that will challenge and improve your strength, endurance and mobility in tough and varied ways.

The session is often conducted with slightly faster beats compared to Starter and Medium sessions, requiring a higher level of exertion to perform them to 100%. At this intensity level, we train with a generally high pulse, quite heavy loads and explosive jumps – and it’s also a little extra challenging for general balance!

Typically in INTENSIVE, push-ups are for example more plentiful, sprints are longer, and jumps are deeper and more complex. Some instructors may also add some extra combined core/leg/cardio drills for an extra push! Ahhh!

Exact intensity may depend on the Instructor. Note also that some sessions are labeled Medium-Intensive, being slightly tougher than Medium. Our normal classes are 45 or 60min (providing 35-47 minutes of active training respectively)– but keep an eye out for occasional 75-minute sessions!

Heyrobics Session Headers - CIRCLE Session

Training can be fun. It can also be. Puh. So. Tough. Redardless of if you’re a beginner or all-out athlete – try the Circle sessions!

Our Circle sessions are training in stations, where you’ll train 3 types of fitness: 1. Upper body, 2. Core and 3. Legs/Cardio. After the warm-up, training is conducted at stations, each corresponding to each type of training you conduct.

The training at the stations are usually conducted with only your body as resistance, and allow you to adapt the intensity level according to your fitness level, making the sessions popular among both beginners and superfit. Some exercises may be done in pair form (no worries – there will always be someone you can do it with even if you’re coming by yourself).
